Audit Engagements (a CGA-BC seminar)
This 2-day seminar was developed for CGA Canada and is presented periodically as a component of the CGA-BC Practice Refresher and Orientation Seminars. The seminar was revised in 2007 to include new procedures that are designed to meet the risk assessment requirements in current GAAS.
The seminar material includes a case study using the CGA Canada Small Audit Program that was developed with the assistance of Dan McNeill. New for the 2007 seminar is a discussion of internal control audit procedures for audits that use the combined approach. Day 2 includes a workshop component where participants are able to share their knowledge and experience working together as members of "audit teams" with a focus on identifying and addressing the risks of fraud and error.
The overall objective of this course is to provide you with practical tools to be more efficient and competitive while continuing to meet Canadian Generally Accepted Auditing Standards. This course has very practical benefits and applications for public practitioners and professional staff who perform or would like to offer audit services to their clients.
